Devon Kane of Diamante Farm in Wellington, FL. has acquired Amanda Perkowski's rising Grand Prix mare Sonata MF.

Sonata MF is a 10-year old American Hanoverian by Sir Donnerhall out of elite mare Duet MF (by Don Principe x Rotspon). She is bred by Maryanna Haymon and is a full sister to Grand Prix mare Serenade MF.

Show Career

Haymon presented the mare at several breed shows in Lexington, Raleigh and Devon as a yearling and two-year  old. She was first shown as a 4-year old by Austin Webster, once in 2019 when the mare was owned by MAK Capital, LLC, and once in 2021. In between Caroline Roffman had the ride until she sold to Pegasus Equestrian Davie LLC, a company owned by Richard Goldstein. At the same time also Next Level Performance Center Inc was listed as owner of the mare.

Sonata MF came into the spotlight as a 6-year old when she was ridden by German Madeleine Bendfeldt for her own. Bendfeldt was briefly based at the time at Aaron Goldsmith's jumping stable Next Level Performance Center. Only two months into their partnership, the pair won the 2021 U.S. Young Horse Championships in Wayne, ILL.

Two months later Amanda Perkowski took over the ride on Sonata MF and then sold to Harold Denton's Seasons Four Farm LLC. In the FEI database the ownership of the horse was changed from Seasons Four Farm LLC to  Valour Performance Horses LLC the same day.

Under Perkowski, Sonata made her international show debut as a 7-year old at the 2022 CDI Lexington and won bronze in the 7-year old division at the 2022 U.S. Young Horse Championships. The following winter of 2022-2023 she rode her in the small tour at the CDI Wellington, followed by two CDI's in Ocala. In 2024 the mare was shown at national level in the Developing Grand Prix horse classes and placed 8th in the Lövsta Future Challenge Final in Wellington. The pair only did two tests in 2025: one Inter II (70.618%) and one Grand Prix (65.605%).
