Anne-Mette Binder has handed in her resignation as as elite sports director in dressage and para-dressage for the Danish Equestrian Federation (DRF).
She will step down from her post on 1 June 2025 but has offered to continue to captain the Grand Prix team through the major summer competitions in Aachen, Kronberg and Crozet "to ensure a good and smooth transition for both riders and organization."
Anne-Mette took up the position of elite sports manager on 1 January 2022 after having served as team manager for the U25 and seniors from the autumn of 2020, and has continued to serve as team manager for both the senior and U25 riders.
Over the years, she has made a significant impact on Danish equestrian sport, not only through her recent roles, but also through her many years of involvement in board work, talent development, international judging and previously as team manager for the eventing riders.
"I have accepted a new and exciting opportunity as a management consultant in Vejle Municipality's Department of Education & Learning and will therefore resign from my position in the Danish Equestrian Federation at the end of May," said Binder.
DRF's chairman, Kimi Gerd Nielsen, also sends warm words along the way: "It is undoubtedly a great loss for both the riders and the entire association that Anne-Mette is now resigning. She has played a crucial role in building our sporting set-up and has been a strong support for many riders, both as a strategist, as a person and as a sparring partner. We owe her a big thank you for the enormous work she has put into Danish equestrian sport - including dressage in particular."
