The Belgian competed and Australian owned Grand Prix horse Hove's Zako has been sold to Germany. He will continue his sport career under German aspiring Under 25 rider Charlotte Rühl.

Hove's Zako is a 12-year old Danish warmblood by Zack out of Female (by Fernando x Martell). He is bred by Gitte Sogaard and Poul Hove.

Bred in Denmark, Zako is out of the same dam that produced Grand Prix horses Caprino (by Cavan, under Maik Kohlschmidt) and Charmeur (by Crelido, under Sune Hansen).

Scouted by Belgian horse dealer and rider Natasja van den Bogaert, Zako sold as a 4-year old to Australian Pauline Carnovale in January 2016. On the FEI passport he was registered as owned and co-owned by Van den Bogaert, until 2021 when Frank and Pauline Carnovale were listed as the full owners of the horse.

The pair finished 10th at the 2016 Belgian Young Horse Championships and competed in the Belgian team selection trials for the 2017 World Young Horse Championships.

The horse made its international show debut at small tour level in August 2020 at CDI Sint-Truiden in Belgium under Natasja. Two years later she returned to the CDI ring at Grand Prix level at the 2022 CDI Deauville and competed in Ornago. In 2023 she showed him at CDI's in Exloo, Cascais, Beloura and Jerez de la Frontera. Their last international was that latter show in March 2023, where they posted 66.283% in the Grand Prix and 66.085% in the Special

In February 2024 Zako sold to Frank Rühl for his daughter Charlotte to ride as an Under 25 hopeful.

The 23-year old Rühl made her international show debut at the 2018 CDI Sint-Truiden as a junior aboard her brother Johannes Rühl's 2015-2016 young riders' horse Dante (by Tuschinski x Havidoff). She moved to Young Riders level in 2019 and Under 25 level in 2022 with Dante and Borsalino (by Bordeaux x Weltmeyer). Her last CDI was in Kronberg in July 2022.
