Dressage judge and scribe Vivian Lindemann has passed away on Sunday 11 February 2024.  She was 53 years old.

Horses.nl reported that Vivian suffered from a brain bleed on 2 February as she was driving home from the 2024 KWPN Stallion Licensing. She was immediately taken to the hospital and operated on, but could not be saved.

Judge and Scribe

The German born and Dutch based Lindemann was a dressage judge and officiated at national events, judging from grassroots level up to small tour. She was a familiar face on the international dressage scene as a scribe at numerous CDI events.

Vivian also competed herself up to small tour level but was not longer active as a competition rider, although she never gave up riding.  She was based in Schijf, The Netherlands, where she had her own barn and trained horses up to Grand Prix level together with her son, Sidney Trimp.

Dressage at Heart

Vivian travelled the world as a scribe and teaching clinics.

She was also involved as the co-ordinator for the officials at CHIO Rotterdam and worked as part of the organizers team at the CDI's in Roosendaal and Nieuw en St. Joosland.
