The 8-year old KWPN bred gelding Kadanz has been sold to France in the summer of 2022. The liver chestnut is being prepared for the big tour by Laurence Vanommeslaghe.

Kadanz is a 2015 born Dutch warmblood by Bordeaux out of Fee-Strona (by Vivaldi x San Remo). He is bred by G. Snoeks in The Netherlands. He is from the same dam line as the KWPN licensed stallion Eyecatcher.

The horse began his sport career as a stallion owned by Paul Schockemöhle and Joop van Uytert. He was named Kadanz U.S. at the time.

He was presented at the pre-selection/first phase for the 2018 KWPN Stallion Licensing but did not get accepted.

Under Jeroen Okkema the horse was produced to medium level and competed nationally. The pair finished 9th in the 2018 VWF Talent Competition and was a high scorer at a Pavo Cup qualifier in Rucphen.

The liver chestnut sold as a 6-year old and moved to Helgstrand Dressage in Denmark, where the ride was allocated to Anne-Mette Strandby. He became a gelding.

The new pair won a September qualifier for the 2021 Danish Young Horse Championships and in October landed 10th place in the 6-year old division at the actual Championships.

In 2022 Anne-Marie Hosbond competed the horse three times at two shows at MB level. Four months later, in June 2022 Kadanz did his last show in Denmark with Betina Jaeger, scoring 70.269% in the 7-year old young horse test. They were seventh in a field of 8 starters.

Sold to France

Kadanz has been sold to Belgian born French Grand Prix rider Laurence Vanommeslaghe at Helgstrand Dressage during the 2022 World Championships in Herning.

The pair is scheduled to make its show debut in Wellington this weekend in the national Intermediaire II class.
