The Italian Equestrian Federation has selected the horses that will represent Italy at the 2022 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo, The Netherlands, on 7 - 11 September 2022.

Italy, like several other countries, saw a reduction in the amount of horses eligible to send to the WCYH. In the past it used to be allowed to send 2 per age category, but as of 2022 the FEI decided that Italy can only send 1. The quota is based on the size of the breeding studbooks in each country.

Representing Italy in Ermelo are

5-year old

  • Margherita Josi on Sir Elkintot, an Italian sport horse by Sir Donnerhall x Elkintot
    • Reserve: Francesca Rapazzoli on Goccia di Fonte Abeti (HANN, by Franklin x Don Gregory)

6-year old

  • Beatrice Arturi on Dimaggio Black, an Oldenburg by Dimaggio x Furst Heinrich
    • Reserve: Nausicaa Maroni on Franky di Fonte Abeti (HANN, by Franklin x Wynton)
