Ann-Kristin Dornbracht's Don Malecon Sold to Switzerland

Ann-Kristin Dornbracht has sold her number one Grand Prix horse Don Malecon to Switzerland. The 13-year old Hanoverian will become a Grand Prix schoolmaster for Pamela Jonker.

Don Malecon is born in 2004 and is bred by Friedrich and Edda Kröner. he is by Don Frederico out of Wyona K (by Weltmeyer x Lehnsherr x Bleep xx).

The dark bay gelding was started as a youngster by Esther Maruhn and they made their show debut in May 2008. Dornbracht began competing him in the spring of 2012 at S-level. They made the transition to developing Grand Prix level in 2013. They did one international show, the CDI 2* in Hagen during the European Under 25 Championships.

Don Malecon has now been sold to the Jonker family from Prangins, Switzerland.

"I sold him because of my busy work in my own interior decoration shop, which I lead togehter with my mother.. Also there are four other horses, like Tonik, and younger ones like Soiree de Saumer on which i would like to concentrate."

Pamela Jonker has been competing the stallion Connection at national small tour level in Switzerland in 2016. Jonker's family runs a prestigious private dressage stable in Prangins, which annually hosts an international youth riders competition.
