The 13-year old Ukrainian warmblood Tonik has made his show debut under German Grand Prix rider Ann-Kristin Dornbracht. The bay gelding was previously trained and briefly competed by Monica Theodorescu.

Tonik is by Kvartz out of Tiara. The gelding has been twice registered with the FEI, as Tonic and as Tonik. In 2009 he was owned by Ukrainian Grand Prix rider Yurii Kovshov, but in 2011 he switched ownership to Anatoly and Ekaterina Balykin, the Russian couple which at the time sponsored Aleksandra Korelova on Balagur, who was trained by Georg Theodorescu in Germany.

Tonik moved from Eastern Europe to Theodorescu's yard in Germany in 2012. Monica competed him at two national shows at Developing Grand Prix horse level: the 2012 CDI Hagen and the 2012 German Dressage Championships.

When Theodorescu took up the job as German team trainer, Tonik moved to Jonny Hilberath's yard who showed him twice at the 2013 national shows in Hanover and Heroldsberg.

In 2014 the horse was back in Russia and shown once at international small tour level by Nataliya Kazakova at the 2014 CDI Nizhniy Novgoro. They finished 10th in the Prix St Georges with 64.711%.

Tonik has now returned to Germany and is competed by Ann Kristin Dornbracht. The pair made its national show debut in 15 May 2016 at the Grafschafter Festival des Pferdes, where the pair scored 62.280% in the Inter II and 62.080% in the S-level class.
