German dressage stallion station Gestut Bonhomme in Werder near Berlin, Germany, has issued a press release to explicitely state that it will not affiliate itself with Helgstrand Dressage, which has initiated a partnership with the Lodbergen Dressage Performance Centre.

Bonhomme and Lodbergen were supposed to host a joint stallion presentation on 15 February at the Oldenburg headquarters in Vechta.

However, Lodbergen has started a long-term co-operation with Helgstrand Dressage for the 2015 breeding season and announced that Helgstrand will also be showing its breeding stallions at the planned partner stallion show of Bonhomme and Lodbergern in Vechta.

"We can only conclude that this is a fait accompli," Bonhomme wrote on its website on 6 February 2015. "This was not discussed with us, nor would be have agreed to it. For us at Gestut Bonhomme it is absolute that the welfare of the horse comes first as well as a beautiful and correct training of the horses according to their age. We deliberately reject questionable training techniques because they are not according to our philosophy. We want to distance ourselves from that in every way."

Gestut Bonhomme recently acquired the 2014 Oldenburg Licensing champion Morricone (by Millennium x Rubin Royal) and has Falk Rosenbauer as head trainer of its large group of dressage stallions.
