2010 Danish Pony Championships

In the absence of all of the Danish team ponies that competed at the 2010 European Pony Championships in Bishop Burton, UK, Maya Jørgensen and Modderbeek's Flo were able to capture the Danish Pony Champions title at FEI pony level for D-ponies. The Danish pony nationals were held in Middelfart on 20 - 22 August 2010.

Maya Jørgensen and her 16-year old Dutch bred pony Modderbeeks Flo (by Vita Nova's Golden Boris x Bokkesprong Czardas) captured the gold medal and national pony champion's title by winning both rounds of the championships. The combination scored 71.30% in the team championship test and 69.68% in the Finals class.

The silver medal went to FEI level new comer Ida Sofie Daugaard aboard Centrum, one of Denmark's most successful FEI pony of recent years. Daugaard and Helle Merrald's 13-year old Danish bred Centrum (by Robin) won the warm up class and placed second in the team test (70.09%) and individual test (69.16%) to win silver.

Simone Barnekow and the elegant 12-year old German Reitpony stallion Kinske WE (by Kaiserjäger) grabbed the bronze medal scoring 68.52% and 68.53% in the two championship rounds.

The 2010 Danish Pony Championships also include classes for smaller ponies. Simone Barnekow and her grey C-pony Bohemo Geum won gold in Category II. Category III for A and B-ponies was won by Iben Olkjær Olsen on the black Magic Manipu. She scored 75.00% and 71.35% in her two rounds.
