2008 European Junior and Young Riders Championships
The Portuguese Equestrian Federation has announced the names of the riders and horses that will represent Portugal at the 2008 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in their own country in Azeitao (near Lissabon), July 14-20, 2008.
The Portuguese riders have proven to be strong competitors at the 2008 Sunshine Tour. Young Rider Boaventura Freire won the bronze medal at the 2007 FEI Young Rider World Cup in Frankfurt, Germany.
The 2008 Portuguese teams are constituted by:
Junior Riders:
- Mafalda G. Mendes with D'Artagnan
- Catarina Kemper with Primadona
- Rodrigo G. Mendes with Ne-Opus
- Joaquim Pontes with Deutsche
Young Riders
- Maria Amaral with Wonderman
- Boaventura Freire with Derby-L
- João Silva with Critos
