Seventy Dressage Colts Selected for 2016 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing

The pre-selection for the 2016 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing took place from 6 - 15 September 2016 and a lot of 70 dressage bred stallions and 39 show jumping bred colts have been selected to participate in this year's licensing.

The pre-selection days were held in Hoya, Barver, Bersenbruck, Benstrup, Filsum, Isterberg, Wickrath, Dorum, Altenbruch, Freiburg, Dobrock, Wohlebostel, Luhmuhlen, Oetzen, Nienhagen, Bodenstein, Alsfeld, Hepstedt, Dohlbergen, and Verden.

A collection of 70 dressage colts has been picked with Klosterhof Medingen's liver chestnut Quantensprung (by Quando Quando x Donnerhall x Aspirant) as top producer with six colts accepted from his first crop.

Quantensprung was licensed in 2012. The young horse already has a remarkable career. The stallion was originally named Quattoleur and is bred by Gabriele Berner and as a foal sold for the top price of 55,000 euro at the 2010 Verden Elite Foal Auction to Limbecker GmbH. At the 2012 Licensing he sold for 200,000 euro to Wahler and Bockmann. As a 5-year old he won bronze at the World Young Horse Championships.
