Following the example of the German Oldenburg society, the Hanoverian society is now also introducing lunging as a mandatory phase at the annual Hanoverian Stallion Licensing.

The board of directors, licensing committee members and representatives of stallion rearers of the Hanoverian society agreed at their annual assemmbly that lunging has to become a mandatory phase of the licensing process. Up till now lunging was a free choice of the stallion owners and often done on Saturday morning before the auction.

As of 2016 lunging will be integrated in the licensing and take place on Thursday afternoon after the morning prestentation in the triangle arena. The walk presentation in the triangle is dropped to make time for the lunging. All stallions will be lunged. Presentation in freedom and free jumping continue to take place on Friday. On Saturday morning there will be extra time now for an additional side program.
