Westfalian Breeding News

The highlight of the Westfalian breeding year attracts many breeders, purchasers and horse enthusiasts. The 2011 Westfalian stallion licensing and stallion auction will held at the NRW equestrian centre in Münster-Handorf on 21 - 23 November 2011.

In the beginning of October the best 80 stallions born in 2009 where chosen from more than 400 candidates and will now show to be judged by the licensing committee.

Many different blood line combinations are featured in the collection. Dressage and show jumping experts will find many favorites in the stallion lot. If you take a look at the results of the Bundeschampionate and the World Championchips of the young dressage and show jumping horses you will see that many of the medal takers started their career in Münster-Handorf.

The title hero of the Licensing catalogue, Damon Hill NRW (by Donnerhall x Rubinstein), was a premium stallion at his licensing and was two times World Young Dressage Horse Champion.

The Stallion Licensing will start on Monday 21 November with the first inspection on the hard surface, followed by free running and the walk round on Monday. On Tuesday (22.11.) the free-jumping will take place and the licensing results will be announced. Wednesday (23.11.) will start with the lunging of the stallions. A special moment will be the nomination of the premium stallions and the champion stallions in the afternoon. The auction of the licensed and non-licensed stallion will take part on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

There is a live stream of the licensing on Tuesday and Wednesday on www.clipmyhorse.tv.
