German Under 25 rider Raphael Netz has lost the ride on his young riders' horse Dior. The Hanoverian has been sold to German junior Laura Franziska Riegel.

Dior is a 7-year old Hanoverian by De Niro out of Florentine (by Florencio x Prince Thatch xx).

He is bred by Hof Kleemeyer and was owned by the Werndl family who discovered the black as a 2-year old. They employ Raphael Netz at their yard in Aubehausen, Germany.

Dior was first competed as a 4-year old by Lisa Mayer in 2016. In 2017 Julia Karl took over the ride and in 2019 Canadian Hannah Beaulieu campaigned the then 6-year old at local shows in South Germany. Netz was handed the ride in 2019 and finished third with him in the 2019 Preis der Besten in Warendorf.

He made his international show debut on the just 7-year old Dior in the Young Riders division in March 2019 in Ornago, Italy, where he won the Team test and placed third on the individual. He also competed the horse at the CDIO-YR Hagen in June, but was more focused on his Under 25 horse Lacoste, with whom he got selected on the German team for the 2019 European Under 25 Championships in San Giovanni (ITA) and won team gold.

The 17-year old Laura Franziska Riegel has become the new owner of Dior. Her international career began in 2017 on ponies with Equestricons Lord Champion, Valentino, and Cinderella M. In 2018 she moved to junior level with Zaffier but has only done two CDI's since then: the 2018 CDI Aachen Indoor and the 2019 CDI Sint-Truiden last April.

As Dior arrived into Riegel's barn, she has sent her own young mare Dakota to Aubenhausen for further training.
