SICAB, the World Breeding Championships for the Purebred Spanish Horse, is fast approaching and drawing a worldwide audience of Iberian horse lovers to the historic city of Sevilla, Spain on 17 - 22 November 2026.

Hosted at the Seville Exhibition and Conference Centre (FIBES), SICAB is as a one-of-a-kind event taking place in three indoor pavilions, each of them offering a different taste of PRE love.

SICAB 2026: Bigger and Better Than Ever

SICAB's uniqueness is proven by incredible statistics: With 257,165 visitors attending in 2025, 893 horses and 323 stud farms participating, its own live-streaming TV channel SICAB.tv reaching 83 countries, and a social media reach of 19.3 million viewers, SICAB is the place to be and boasts year-on-year growth, even in a more difficult global economy.

SICAB is the annual meeting point for breeders, livestock farmers, professionals, enthusiasts and companies connected with the world of horses. With action taking place simultaneously in three exhibition halls, the SICAB programme includes the PRE World Morphology Championship for horses and mares, the ANCCE Cup Finals for dressage, doma vaquera, alta escuela dressage, driving, traditional driving and a ladies cup final.

Don't Miss the "Spectacular"

While competition classes are the bulk of the programme, SICAB also entertains the crowds with demonstrations, clinics and a "spectacular" evening show. Every year, thousands of enthusiasts gather to enjoy this unique spectacle where elegance, skill and excitement come together in the arena.

Clinics, demonstrations and spectaculars at SICAB

This year's performers include horse whisperer Santi Serra, who for the first time will bring together eight mares at liberty in a majestic performance, accompanied by his falcons. Connection, trust and harmony between the animals will take centre stage.

French Laury Tisseur and Kenzy will join forces with two other riders from their company to create a performance specially conceived for the event. Elegance, freedom, technique and emotion on display as the spectacular Hungarian Post combines it with the sensitivity and harmony of liberty work. Four riders and their horses will share the arena in a new act.

Other performers in the Spectacular are El Chamo, Rafael Arcos, Rocío Jiménez and Francisco Arcos showcasing the legacy of Doma Vaquera. There will be Cossack vaulting, a company of six riders from the Czech Republic that will boost your adrenaline. Sebastián Fernández heralds from the world of bullfighting and will offer a distinctive interpretation of the relationship between horse and bull.

Celebrating the unity between horse and human

Four famous carriage drivers - two renowned veteran drivers, Juan Robles and Pedro Mata, alongside two up-and-comers, Nacho Pallarés and Antonio López Contreras, will display precision, technique and a perfect understanding between driver and horses.

SICAB, a Certainty for Dressage Lovers

For the hard core dressage lovers, SICAB certainly fulfils one's wishes as it features dressage competition classes from young horse level through Grand Prix with Spanish Olympians showcasing their young stars in the ANCCE Cup Final. The ground jury at SICAB includes international judges Magnus Ringmark, Cesar Torrente, and Juan Carlos Campos, alongside Spanish national judges Dekker, Merida, Sanchez, Condeminas, and Betanzos. This is a chance to do celebrity spotting on beautiful PRE horses.

The trade fair has booths of the major PRE breeding farms in the world and visitors can chat and network with them directly, while enjoying a glass of excellent Spanish wine with local cheeses and fresh cuttings of serrano and iberico ham. SICAB is lifestyle in combination with horse sport.
