The CDIO Fontainebleau will be hosting the inaugural "Para Dressage World Cup Final" at its 2027 edition of the Printemps des Sports Équestres on 14 - 18 April 2027.

Sylvie Robert, the President of GL events Equestrian Sport, announced the news Friday 30 October 2026 during the CDI-W Lyon.

Para World Cup Premier

This will be a new event for para-dressage, a sport that is constantly growing in popularity in France and internationally.

Forty riders from around the world will be taking part in the event at the Grand Parquet in Fontainebleau, competing across the discipline’s five grades. The classes will take place in the Carrière des Princes, just like the CDIO 5* FEI Dressage Nations Cup. Prize money will be awarded to the winners and admission to the final will be free of charge.

New Milestone

Sylvie Robert, President of GL events Equestrian Sport, commented:

"We are really pleased to announce this new event, which means so much to me. Since the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, para-dressage events have been an integral part of our programme. Acting as the host to the FEI Para-Dressage World Cup™ Final marks a new milestone in the development of the Printemps des Sports Équestres and reflects one of our core beliefs, namely that top-level sport must be open to everyone.

Robert continued, "all riders, regardless of their discipline, should be acknowledged for their ability, enjoy the same visibility and have access to the same quality of facilities in order to strive for excellence. As organisers, this is the objective we have set for the Printemps des Sports Équestres: to bring together the world’s top riders, to celebrate high-level performance in every form and to use sport as a tool to bring people together and foster inclusion."

Rodolpho Riskalla, a French based Brazilian Paralympian and member of the FEI Para-Dressage Technical Committee, added that, "we've put a lot of work into this new project. Things are moving forward gradually in para-dressage, but progress is being made. We are very fortunate that this event will be held as part of the Printemps des Sports Équestres in Fontainebleau, which is a magnificent venue. It will provide a great showcase for our discipline."
