Sir Vegas was the only dressage horse that was able to successfully complete the 2026 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Test in Ermelo.
The testing began on 23 February 2026 and concluded on 13 March 2026.
Three stallions began the testing: Stromae (by Las Vegas x Sir Donnerhall I), Sonic (by Las Vegas x Davino V.O.D.) and the voluntarily presented Sir Las Vegas (by Las Vegas x De Niro) who had not yet appeared at the licensing.
Owned by Joop van Uytert and bred by F. Vaessen, Sir Vegas was the only one to reach the finish line.
The inspection committee described him as "a big and powerful stallion. He is well focused on the rider. The walk is very ground covering is active; at times, the stallion still needs support from the rider to effectively translate this through the body into a consistently pure four-beat rhythm. He responds well to guidance in this. The trot is well balanced, the hind leg carries well and has ample power. The foreleg is used with shoulder freedom and knee lift. The canter shows power, balance, and a good jump. Sir Vegas makes easy transitions and at times demonstrates the ability to shift weight onto the hind leg. The contact is constant and stable, though it could remain slightly more pleasing. He follows the hand well and remains balanced even then. Sir Vegas has demonstrated a very consistent performance."
At the end of the testing the stallion was renamed Sir Vegas, instead of Sir Las Vegas.
