Vale de Ferreiros Equestrian Centre, located in Abrantes just 150 km from Lisbon, is a well-established international venue offering excellent conditions for top-level sport. The centre features three competition arenas—one indoor and two outdoor—as well as an on-site hotel, ensuring maximum comfort and convenience for riders, owners and teams throughout the event.
From 10 to 12 April 2026, Vale de Ferreiros is proud to host the 8th edition of its CDI3*. Each year, the event welcomes riders from numerous countries seeking qualification results for European Championships and, on this occasion, the opportunity to achieve the Minimum Eligibility Requirement (MER) for qualification for the World Equestrian Games (WEG).
The venue is strategically located in one of Portugal’s most important regions for the Lusitano horse, home to some of the world’s leading breeders. The area is also renowned for its wine, gastronomy and rich cultural heritage, offering a truly complete experience beyond the competition arena.
April is known for its excellent weather conditions, and the presence of other international CDIs in the region during the same period makes Vale de Ferreiros an ideal stop on the international circuit, allowing riders to optimise both travel and competitive opportunities.
The panel of Officials will be announced shortly and will once again include highly experienced FEI Ground Jury members, Levels 3 and 4, with extensive experience at the highest level of international sport.
