Diamond Dream became the best sellers of the 2025 Trakehner Open Air Foal Auction held during the annual Trakehner championships in Münster on 19 July 2025.

A collection of 21 foals was on offer for the niche group of Trakehner aficionados who are willing to pay the big bucks for foals from this small, historic studbook. No less than 18 foals sold over 10,000 euro !

The not so originally named colt Diamond Dream (by Grafenstolz x Dragon Pulse xx) was the best seller, going for 38,000 euro to Lower Saxony..

The second most expensive foal was the filly Nachtdrossel (by Hallifax x Niagara) who will move to Hessia for 36,000 euro. The same price was paid for Fürst Colour (by Alle Farben x Kentucky).

Guccio (by Shavalou x Zauberdeyk) fetched 23,500 euro

The three colts from the first crop of the reserve champion Times Square sold for over 20,000 euro. They are Henry (by Times Square x Gribaldi) for 24,000 euro, Schwalbenfürst (by Times Square x Exclusiv) for 23,000 euro, and Insider (by Times Square x Speedway) for 21,500 euro.

Hosianna (by Haffruf x Millennium) sold for 16,750 euro.

Colts Blickfang (by Statement x Millennium) and Sportsfreund (by Tschaikowsky x Grafenstolz), as well as filly Goldschimmer (by Sakari x Goldschmidt) both went for 15,000 euro.

The average price for a foal at this auction was 17,440 euro, which is almost 2,000 euro higher than the previous year.

"The collection was of exceptional class. Quality is always in demand and can then also have its price," breeding director Neel-Heinrich Schoof stated.
