The Austrian Equestrian Federation has updated its senior dressage squads on 15 July 2025. The squads are under the supervision of team captain Dr. Ursula Barth.
Interesting to note in the A-squad is the listing of Christian Schumach, who has not competed Lauren Gold's Amplemento (by Ampere x Sir Oldenburg) internationally since July 2024. Schumach was member of the 2021 Olympic team with Franziska Fries' Te Quiero SF, whose last CDI was also at the start of June 2024. Fries recently purchased Elena Sidneva's 8-year old Oldenburg bred Vidal (by Vitalis x Fidermark) as a rising Grand Prix hopeful for Schumach to ride.
The B-squad still includes Diana Porsche's Douglas, who has been retired from sport. Not yet squad listed but actively competing at international shows are Max-Theurer's new Grand Prix horse L'Espoir de Massa and Florian Bacher's new Grand Prix ride, Doris Wenczel's 13-year old Hanoverian Depeche Mode (by Don Index x Lanthan).
