The internationally competed FEI pony and 2021 Bundeschampion PAV Nachtschwärmer has found a new rider in German children rider Maili-Jane Böhnke.
PAV Nachtschwärmer is a 10-year old German Riding pony by Nemax out of Vanilla Sky (by FS Don't Worry x Valido).
Busch-Kuffner and Miesner
Bred by Gabriele Heemsoth, the black is a full brother to European pony champion Nasdaq.
He made his show debut as a 4-year old under Madeleine Plinke while in 2020 it was Antonia Busch-Kuffner who competed him more extensively and earned silver at the 2020 Bundeschampionate.
Halfway through 2021 Carolina Miesner took over the ride and rode him to the title and gold medal at the Bundeschampionate. In 2022 the pair made its international debut at the CDI Le Mans, placing second twice and winning the kur. In 2022 Miesner ended up being selected on the German team with her horse Exclusiv for the European Junior Riders Championships in Hartpury. With Nachtschwärmer she showed at one more CDI, Kronenberg Indoor at the end of the year. Miesner continued to show the pony nationally through October 2023.
A 1.5 year break from the show ring followed and PAV Nachtschwärmer returned in March 2025 with Hedda Mayer for some regional shows in the north of Germany.
Maili-Jane Böhnke
Maili-Jane came into the spotlight this year as a children rider on 17-year old Hanoverian Secret Kiss (by San Amour x Rubinstein). She finished 8th in the 2025 Preis der Besten and rode the German team selection trial at the CDI Hagen Future Champions, where she was fourth in the individual.
Maili-Jane made her show debut on PAV Nachtschwärmer on Sunday 20 July 2025 in an L-level dressage rider test, scoring 8.0.
