The Brazilian equestrian federation has selected the horse-and-rider combinations that will represent Brazil at the 2025 World Championships for young dressage horses in Verden.

Due to small size of the Brazilian studbooks the country is only allowed to send one horse per age category. All selected horses are based in Europe.

Domestically, Brazil held three selection trials between February and early July. Only a few 5-year olds achieved the MER score but they declined to travel to Verden.

The following horses have been selected:

7-year olds - Brazilian but competing for Portugal

  • Joao Oliva - Mantovani's Orion de La Gesse (by Escorial x Zamorim), owned by Thiago Mantovani

7-year olds - Spaniard but competing for Brazil

  • Cláudio Castilla Ruiz  - Odin Comando SN (by Escorial x Tulum Commando SN), owned by Simone Nowak and Rogério Pinheiro Passos
