A foal became the best selling horse in the mixed collection of foals and young sport horses that were part of the 13th Oldenburg Special Edition auction on 14 June 2025.

The Oldenburg breeding society has been making great efforts in making its live auctions more attractive to attend by linking the auction to a local flea market and on on Sunday 15 June the Oldenburg Foal Championship.

The bay colt Very Hip (by Verbier x Florenz) was the top seller, going for 50,000 euro to a local bidder who fought a long online duel with an American. The bay colt is bred by Fred Bartels.

The most expensive riding horse was the 4-year old mare Furstin Gloria (by Furst Dior x Sir Donnerhall), which sold for 48,000 euro to the USA. She is bred by Bernd Schlüter.
