Known for her elegant, harmonious riding, American Grand Prix rider Charlotte Jorst didn’t start riding until age 35 — and began dressage even later. Now, at 60, she continues to improve. Like most passionate riders, lifelong learning is a common thought, as is the desire for one’s rides to be about harmony, fluidity, ease and a true partnership.

“People ask how I ride the way I do,” Jorst says. “I tell them about the Dave Thind / Feldenkrais Method and how it has helped me. It’s made a real difference.”

One of the Secrets to Her Success

In addition to the consistency and hard work involved in a correct classical training program, her program also includes yoga and careful horse management, as well as many other moving parts.

Over the years, Charlotte has found that the Dave Thind Method continues to offer unique tools to refine her body awareness, posture, and coordination in the saddle.

In celebration of Women’s Health & Longevity Month, the Dave Thind Method (DTM) is offering 40% off its Skeletal Strength Course — a gentle, science-informed movement program that has become part of international dressage rider Charlotte Jorst’s personal wellness and training routine.

DTM Skeletal Strength Course
Dressage requires a life long commitment for improving and we know that “in the basics we find the Grand Prix”. So many classical fundamentals can be addressed and improved through DTM, directly translating into better rides.

DTM's Skeletal Strength Course

Unlike stretching or core workouts, DTM is based on gentle neuromuscular movement lessons inspired by the Feldenkrais Method® and designed specifically for riders. Therefore, this is not meant to replace exercise. The course works with the body’s natural intelligence to improve skeletal function and reduce strain, to train and retrain better movement patterns.

Riders can expect:

  • A more supple, stable seat that supports horse and rider
  • Upright posture and better balance with less effort
  • Improved feel, timing, and coordination
  • Greater ease, resilience, and longevity in the saddle
