Blue Hors stud is rounding off its clearance sale as their doors will close in one month time. The licensed breeding stallion Blue Hors Viconte has been sold to the U.S.A.

Viconte is a 7-year old  Oldenburg by Vivaldi out of Poetin VI (by Sandro Hit x Brentano II). He is bred by Klaus Tuchen in Germany.

He was first licensed in a private home licensing by the Oldenburg society in April 2020 and the Hanoverian verband followed seven months later.

He did a 50-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau in the autumn of 2020 and scored 8.44 for dressage

His first season he stood up for stud at Martin Determann's in Germany in 2020 and in 2023 he was at Elite Stallions in the U.K.

Sport Career

Viconte made his show debut at age 5 in 2022 under Blue Hors stud's Ulrik Falbe-Hansen in Denmark. He showed at six competitions that year, including the 2022 Danish Young Horse Championships, where they finished 10th in the consolation finals.

During his tenure in the U.K. in 2023, Viconte was competed at two shows by Beth Bainbridge. He did the 6-year old classes in Hickstead in May and Wellington in June.

Blue Hors Viconte has now found a new home in the USA.

He has been purchased by the 28-year old Elizabeth Bortuzzo, who competed runs an equestrian center in Frenchtown, NJ.

Between 2014 and 2021 Bortuzzo competed internationally in eventing, but went to the 2016 North American Young Riders Championships as a dressage rider and placed 10th in the Kur to Music finals on Macao (by Metternich x Gardeulan).
