Bayala HR has moved in with Regine Mispelkamp

Austrian Grand Prix rider Astrid Neumayer has sold her 8-year old mare Bayala to a German para team dressage rider as a Paris Paralympic hopeful. Bayala will continue her sport career under Regine Mispelkamp.

Bayala HR is an Oldenburg mare by Barroso out of Donata (by Self Made x Donnerhall). She is bred by Hubert Ratermann in Germany.

From Germany to Austria

The black was briefly competed in Germany as a 4-year old by Sarah Bentrup in 2019.

In 2020 Bayala sold to Austrian Astrid Neumayer of Gestut Pramwahldhof and she first showed her in an L-level test in February 2020 in Stadl Paura.  Then the mare returned to Germany, where Tanja Fischer competed her at the Westfalen Woche in Munster-Handorf.  In October 2020 Sebastian Schilpp showed her again in Stadl Paura.

In 2021 co-owner Ingrid Pretsch was listed on the mare's FEI passport. In 2022 Neumayer rode her at the CDN Wels in April in an LP 4 level test.

Regine Mispelkamp

The mare has now moved to a new home with 52-year old Grade V para rider Regine Mispelkamp. She made her international para show debut in 2018 aboard Look at Me Now (by Lord Nobel S x Solo Dancer xx) and Furst Fidelis G (by Furst Heinrich x Granat). With the former she won team and individual bronze at the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon and finished 7th at the 2019 European Para Championships in Rotterdam.

In 2020 Highlander Delight's (by Florencio x Jazz) took over the baton and took her to the 2021 Tokyo Paralympics, where she won bronze. At the 2022 World Championships she was fourth again and at the 2023 European Championships she won team and individual silver.

Mispelkamp already made her show debut on Bayala at the local show in Frechen, winning the Grand Prix A test with 67.65% and placing fifth in the Grand Prix B.
