German professional dressage rider Friederike Schulz-Wallner has accepted the position of head operations manager at the Bavarian state riding and driving school at the Olympic facility in Munich-Riem.

Bayerns Pferde posted that she will begin her new job on 1 June 2023.

After the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, the riding facility in Munich-Riem was taken over by the Ministry of Agriculture. The development and management of the school was managed by riding master Günther Festerling. Location considerations and cost-cutting caused the school to downsize in recent years. The facility was then privatized by the company "Olympia-Reitanlagen GmbH" on 1 January 2001, accompanied by the reconstruction of the school under the responsibility of the Bavarian Equestrian Association.

Friederike "Hexe" Schulz-Wallner became a certified rider in 2000 and first worked in a private livery yard near Munich before she went to the Bavarian State Stud in Schwaiganger in 2006. There she worked for ten years as head of the dressage department responsible for the dressage training of stallions and horses for sale. In 2016 she switched to the competition barn of the Austrian entrepreneur and Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz, who recently passed away.
