The excellently bred show jumper colt foal Heartbeat (by Heartbreaker - Calvaro - Darco) became the price highlight of the 2022 Oldenburg Breeding Sales auction of which the bidding concluded on 3 September 2022.
Bred by Dr. Sigurd Kleon from Austria, Heartbeat was the top priced foal with 25,250 euro and will move to enthusiastic jumping customers from North Rhine Westphalia.
The bay colt Don Dolany (by Don Schufro x Fidertanz) fetched 19,500 euro.
A Danish customer bought the liver chestnut colt Boucheron (by Baron x De Niro x Sevillano xx) for 10,750 euro, while an American client invested in Dynamic Hit (by Dynamic Dream x Diamond Hit x Argentinus) for 10,250 euro.
Germans paid 9,000 euro for Disney (by Donier x Bretton Woods) and Dow Jones (by Don Romance x Foundation). A Ukrainian client purchased Sorbonne (by So Perfect x Danone) for 7,750 euro.
Toffifee (by Topas - De Niro - Lord Liberty), bred by Dieter Scherwitzki and presented at auction by Heinz Wieber, was the top priced broodmare, selling for 25,000 euro. The charming black mare is in foal to the Escamillo son Escaneno, who will produce his first crop next year. The broodmare moves to Schleswig-Holstein.
Broodmare Fraulein Desselee (by Floriscount x Sir Donnerhall) went for 12,000 euro, while Marilyn Monroe (by Morricone x Londonderry) fetched 10,000 euro. An American bought Piacenta (by Furst Romancier x Sungold) for 9,500 euro.
Eight of 32 auction candidates were bought by Oldenburg friends from abroad. They will move to the USA (3), Denmark (1), Great Britain (1), Italy (1), Poland (1) and in the Ukraine (1). The foal collection achieved an average price of about 8,800 euro, the broodmares achieved an average price of more than 12,000 euro.
