German young professional Laura-Sophie Strobel has been hired as an assistant rider at Sissy Max-Theurer's stallion station and brood farm Gestut Vorwerk in Cappeln, Germany.

WCYH Silver

Strobel began her career as a young horse rider at Dorothee Schneider's yard in Framersheim, Germany, in 2014.

In 2017 she competed Wind of Change on the Piaff Forderpreis circuit for German Under 25 Grand Prix riders.

She had her career highlight moment in 2018 when she piloted Sissy Max-Theurer's Rhinelander stallion Villeneuve to a silver medal at the 2018  World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, The Netherlands.

Independence

A month after Ermelo, she decided to leave her job at Schneider's yard and go independent.   She moved to the yard of her boyfriend Lukas Kückelhaus in Nachrodt-Wiblinwerde, Germany.

In 2019 she rode Trakehner Bourani (by Fairmont Hill / Legretto) to a fourth place at the Bundeschampionate.  In 2020 she competed, for instance, Dalmer's Damon (by Damon Hill / Florestan) and Dave Brubeck (by Desiderio / Sandro Hit)  in the Bundeschampionate selection trials.

Gestut Vorwerk

Strobel reconnected with Sissy Max-Theurer and has been offered a riding position at Gestut Vorwerk in Germany, which she accepted,  leaving Kückelhaus.

Strobel joined Melanie Thewes and Yvonne Kähne as rider at Vorwerk at the beginning of June.
