Finnish Teams for 2020 European Youth Championships Announced

The Finnish equestrian federation has announced its teams that will represent Finland at the 2020 European Youth Championships in Budapest, Hungary, on 9 - 30 August 2020. 

On Friday 10 July 2020 a special team selection trial took place in Helsinki, where pony/children team trainer Kikko Kalliokoski and JR/YR/U25 team trainer Marko Björs were present to assess the riders. 

The teams have been selected and Tanja Takkula will serve as chef d'equipe at the 2020 EYC

Finland will be sending:

Children

  • Mila Pietarila – Solitaire KJ
  • Venla Lahtinen – Classified, Tervalammen Ratsastajat

Ponies

  • Mila Pietarila on Solitaite KJ
    Roosa Salo – Sir Maximus Welshwarrior
  • Matilda Piispa – Vasehöjs Kashi
  • Pinja Pohjoismäki – Caramba
  • Ruut Mantela – Hillside Arwen

Reserve: Saana Hannula – Dacapo de l’ Aube

Juniors

  • Veera Paloheimo – Wolle Wolkenstein
  • Johanna Similä – Mein Freund
  • Tuisku Lamberg – Netstutteriets Bachio
  • Sofie Söderbäck – High Bid V.D.T.

Reserve: Lia Lundström – Wald Hit

Young Riders

  • Mea Packalén – Feuerball
  • Tuisku Lamberg on Netstutteriets Bachio
    Louise Jönsson – Dayna
  • Jenni Kinnunen – Cobain
  • Emmi Salminen – St Ophir

Reserve: Janna Pursiainen – Hiero

No Under 25 riders were selected for Budapest.
