German private stallion owner Jens Meyer has joined the team at Blue Hors stud in Denmark as their German breeding consultant.
Jens and his wife Susanne run their own stallion station in Dorum, Germany, which florished through the support of the American Hanoverian horse owner Louise and her late husband Doug Leatherdale. The Leatherdales stood their top stallions His Highness, Damsey, Herzensdieb, Rob Roy, First Dance, and Fairbanks at Meyer's station until 2016.
Jens' station was a home to other dressage stallions, such as Falsterbo and Dacaprio. Jens Meyer has also served as a judge at breed shows.
Jens will be Blue Hors' German breeding consultant and scout for foals and young horses. He will be a wingman to Blue Hors' Danish breeding manager Martin Klavsen.
"I am thrilled to expand our breeding department with Jens Meyer, who is a true professional and a considerable capacity for Blue Hors, and I feel convinced that the German breeders will also appreciate and profit from this expansion of staff," said Martin Klavsen.
