The internationally competed Grand Prix horse Excellent Black became the price highlight of the 2020 Excellent Dressage Sales, which had to first postpone its edition and then switch to an online version due to the corona pandemic.
The EDS organization was more than pleased with the results, but also happy the the majority of the horses had been tried out before the Covid-19 crisis started.
The 10-year old Excellent Black (Painted Black x Donnerhall) sold for 370,000 euro to Irish rider Fenella Quinn and moves to Scotland. He was previously owned and ridden by Golda Nunes Nabarro.
The second most expensive horse in the collection was the KWPN approved stallion Knock Out (by Ebony x Dreamcatcher) sold to Marie Josee Proulx from Canada. He becomes a stallion made of the retired Grand Prix stallion Wynton. Proulx paid 160,000 euro for the stallion who won the 2018 KWPN Autumn stallion performance test.
The bidding for the licensed stallion Johnny Cash (by Bon Bravour) stopped at 100,000 euro. Facendo (by Fidertanz x Don Schufro) fetched 95,000 euro. The licensed stallion Floris BS (by Negro) ended up selling for 65,000 euro
The 4-year-old Lucky (by For Gribaldi) changed owners for 70,000 euro, Indigo sold for 65,000 euro.
The KWPN licensed stallions Macaron and Miljonair sold for 49,000 euro and 42,000 euro. They still need to do their performance test.
The 7-year-old Fidelio (by Fürst Romancier) sold for 60,000 euro.
