2015 Swiss Young Horse Championships

The 4-year old Q Man von Worrenberg CH, the 5-year old Orla vom Loo and the 6-year old Show Girl became the winners in their division at the 2015 Swiss Young Horse Championships held at the national equestrian centre in Avenches, Switzerland on 18 - 20 September 2015.

In the 4-year old division Sandra Hodel steered Ferdi Hodel's Swiss bred Q Man von Worrenberg (by Quaterback x Rohdiamant) to victory. The bay stallion finished fourth in the warm up round but moved up to the top of the leader board in the Finals class. He scored 79% and achieved the same mark as the runner-up Marianne Wicki on her own Swiss bred Golden Bree KWG (by Bretton Woods x Abanos). The liver chestnut mare is bred by Heidi and Walter Kunz-Hofstetter and placed second both in the qualifier and final round. Corin Koch and Brigitte Hofer's Swiss bred Dancing Riva (by Le Rouge x De Niro) were the winners of the warm-up round but dropped to fourth place in the finals to rank third overall.

Jasmin Isenschmid on Orla vow Loo In the 5-year old division Jasmin Isenschmid steered the Luder family's bay mare Orla vom Loo (by Sir Donnerhall x Don Corleone) to an undisputed victory. The mare won the warm up round and finals with 8.33 and 8.4 averages to total a winning 8.365 points. Christa Bächer steered Furstengold (by Furstenball x Hill Hawk xx) to the reserve champion's place after ranking fourth in the first round (7.88) and second in the finals (8.36) to finish second overall with 8.12. Grand Prix rider Melanie Hofmann got the bronze on La Ballerina (by Londontime x De Niro) with solid scores of 8.02 and 8.16 to total 8.09 points for third place.

Melanie Hofmann on Show Girl In the 6-year old division Melanie Hofmann rode Christina Ernst's Swiss bred Show Girl (by Show Star x Davignon) to her third consecutive young horse title with a total score of 71.97%. Hofmann also bagged the reserve champion's title aboard Londero von Worrenberg (by Londontime x Calypso II) with 67.71% Nicola Heyser-Burger slotted in third on San Latino (by Sandro Hit x Rubin Royal) with a total of 67.53%.
