Adelinde Cornelissen has obtained the ride on the 3-year old Gelderlander licensed stallion Henkie (by Alexandro P x Upperville).
Bred by Gait Hekkert and owned by Jaap van den Berg, Aris van Manen and Joop van Uytert, Henkie was a crowd favourite at the 2015 KWPN Stallion Licensing in 's Hertogenbosch in February and recently completed the 2015 KWPN Spring Stallion Performance Testing in Ermelo, scoring 8.5 for trot and dressage potential and 9 for walk and canter.
Cornelissen's assistant trainer Kelly van Vliet prepared Henkie for the Performance Testing and Adelinde now taken on the training of the bay licensed stallion.
"He's a fantastic horse under saddle with a great technique in the legs and much flexion of the joints. And what I find so important in a dressage horse, he wants to move, he has a lot of go," Cornelissen told De Hoefslag. "When I saw Henkie the first time I already thought he was awesome. He's an enormous eye catcher: masculine, lots of neck and body and so much expression."
