Danish young Grand Prix rider Daniel Bachmann and Silvia Rizzo's Danish warmblood mare Donna Silver have been re-united as a combination. After a one-year training stint with Hans Peter Minderhoud in The Netherlands, Donna Silver is back in Denmark.

In 2012 Italian Grand Prix rider Silvia Rizzo, who is now listed 160th on the FEI World Riders Ranking, offered Donna Silver (by Don Schufro x Willemoes) to Hans Peter Minderhoud as a 2012 Dutch Olympic hopeful. The new pair competed at three international competitions, Saumur, Munich and Rotterdam, as well as the Dutch Dressage Championships but failed to capture one of four Dutch Olympic spots.

In January 2013 Rizzo traveled to the U.S.A. to compete her number one Grand Prix horse Donnerbube 2 on the Florida dressage circuit and at the same time she decided to reunite her mare back with Bachmann, who produced the first international Grand Prix successes on the grey.

Bachmann has reconnected with the mare in no time. After a mere two weeks together the duo scored 72.270% in the Grand Prix and 74.653% in the Special at a national show in Hjallerup, Denmark. At the incredibly popular and highly visited 2013 Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing in Herning begin March, the duo swept the Intermediaire II with 72.193%. In the Grand Prix they were the only combination that thrilled the crowds and made them clap on their final centerline. The performance earned them another winning score of 73.333%.

“I’m ecstatic that Donna Silver is finally proving to be the world class horse I always knew she was,” said Rizzo. “The Grand Prix movements are a piece of cake for her and she is now able to showing off her fantastic piaffe and passage with the greatest confidence, also in a competition setting. There is no limit to her potential and I’m incredibly excited to see her mature in a solid 70% scoring horse that can rival the best horses in the dressage world.”
