Following a meeting of the KBRSF Dressage Committee yesterday evening 11 June 2012, Belgian chef d'equipe Laurence van Doorslaer and the Belgian Equestrian Federation (KBRSF) were able to announce the teams which has been selected to represent Belgium at the 2012 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Berne, Switzerland, on 11 - 15 July 2012.
The nominated combinations are:
Belgian Junior Riders Team:
- Alexa Fairchild - Total Tip Top, a 12-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Metall x Ulster
- Michel Muyters - Riverdance, a 15-year olds Hanoverian stallion by Wolkentanz II x Hill Hawk xx
- Emilie Van Riet - London van de Roshoeve, an 8-year old Hanoverian gelding by Londonderry x Akzent II
- Jorinde Verwimp - Tiano, a 12-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Lester x Hemmingway
The junior reserve riders are Thomas de Becker on the Hanoverian Robin (by Rotspon) and Valerie Brabanders on the KWPN bred Twister (by Rubinstein). Alexa Fairchild has her own reserve horse at her disposal, Wendor (KWPN, by Kennedy).
Belgian Young Riders Team:
- Saidja Brison - Molière, a 10-year old Swedish warmblood gelding by De Niro x Amiral
- Laurence Roos - Ambaro Saturnus, a 13-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Montecristo x Balzflug
- Carole Schepens - Velvet Dream, a 10-year old Hanoverian mare by Dream of Heidelberg x Amsterdam
- Tahnée Waelkens - Sandiegobese, a 12-year old Dutch warmblood gelding by Feliciano x Highline
The reserve young riders are Francesca Hoefnagels on Sir Cloud (by St Cloud x Sion) and Jitske Bosschaerts on Withney (by Riant x Lester)
