The list of qualification events for the 2012 Nurnberger Burgpokal Finals has been released. The show circuit is in its 21st year and is a highly esteemed inofficial German championship for young small tour horses.
Founded in 1992, the Nurnberger Burgpokal is for 7 to 9-year old small tour horses. Many of the previous winners have moved onto Grand Prix level and become team horses. El Santo, Damon Hill and Elvis VA are just a few examples.
Fifteen qualifiers with the Prix St Georges Special as qualification class take place across Germany and the Finals are held mid December at the CDI Frankfurt. The winner of each qualifier is eligible to start in the Finals.
