During the Geneva International Horse Show, BCM, the publishers of the equestrian yearbook L'Annee Hippique, awarded the annual L’Annee Hippique Best Events and Riders of the Year awards. Isabell Werth was named Rider of the Year 2011 while the CDIO Aachen became the Dressage Event of the Year.
Members of the International Riders Clubs voted for Best Events (Indoors and Outdoors) and for the Rider of the Year.
The 2011 L’Année Hippique Beste Event of the Year winners were:
- L'Année Hippique Best Show Jumping Event: CSI-W Geneva (SUI)
- L’Année Hippique Best Dressage Event: CDIO Aachen (GER)
- L'Année Hippique Best Eventing Event: CCI Burghley (GBR)
The winners of this year's awards were:
- L'Annee Hippique Rider of the Year Show Jumping: Eric Lamaze (CAN)
- L'Annee Hippique Rider of the Year Dressage: Isabell Werth (GER)
- L'Annee Hippique Rider of the Year Eventing: Zara Phillips (GBR)
The awards were presented in a wonderful atmosphere by BCM publisher Eric Bruger with all of the winners delighted to receive their awards.
