Sobakkehus Mia Bella, Dafne, and Torveslettens Stamina became the grand champions of the 2011 Danish Young Horse Championships held at the 2011 CDI-W Odense in Denmark, 19 - 23 October 2011. Three mares outshone their peers and competitors in this indoor young horse championship of which the assessment was by an international panel of judges, riders and trainers.
In the 4-year old division judges Kyra Kyrklund, Peter Holler and Susanne Baarup gave the highest amount of points to Dorthe Sjobeck Hoeck on the elegant and refined black Danish mare Sobakkehus Mia-Bella (by Don Schufro x Midt-West Ibi-Light). The mare scored 9,0 for trot, 8,0 for walk, 9,2 for canter, 8,8 for submission and 9,2 for general impression to total 8.840 points. ). The judges praised her for her "wonderful trot and canter, elastic hind legs which can develop good collection. A truly good horse." Michael Højgaard became reserve champion with the Danish bred Øgårdens Chanel (by Sandro King x Zardin).
In the 5-year old category Anna Blomgren and the bay mare Dafne (by Don Romantic x Donnerschlag) scored the highest total of the entire championship. With 9.4 they became the 5-year old champions. The elastic mare scored a 10 for trot, a 9 for walk and a 9.6 for the canter which had a good rhythm. "One can see the beginnings of the pirouettes," Kyrklund commented. The mare became a bit strong and got 8.8 for submission but with another 9.6 for general impression she totalled 9.4. Sanne Henningsen and Lorenzo (by Lord Loxley x Rubin-Royal) were the runners-up with 8.740.
Andreas Helgstrand and his 6-year old grey dame Tørveslettens Stamina (by Stedinger x Carano) shone with their well regulated and springy trot work, for which they got a 10. With a 9 for canter, 7.5 for walk, 8.8 for rideability and 9.8 for capacity, Stamina topped the leader board with a total of 9.02. She beat her stall mate, the Oldenburg licensing champion Sieger Hit (by Sandro Hit x Donnerhall) which scored 8.8 under Helgstrand.
