A Lord Leopold colt and Sir Donnerhall I filly were proclaimed champions at the 2011 South German Foal Championships held in Heuchlingen on 14 August 2011.
Edwin Oppelt's Lord Leopold x Heraldik xx colt reinged supreme in the colt category and scored 9.9 in the first round and 9.7 in the second round to achieve the highest total of 19.60 points. The colt is owned by the Casper family of Gestut Birkhof and it beat the reserve champion by a fraction of the points. Ludwig Ruf's Fabregas x Riccione finished second with 19.40 points.
In the filly division, Klaus and Edwin Schuster's Sir Donnerhall I x Bergamon offspring bested the field with staggering points: 9.9 in the first round and a 10 in the second round. She reigned supreme with 19.90 points and beat a show jumper to the finish line. Herbert Bischof's Stalypso x Balou de Rouet was second with 19.70 points.
