Berlin based French FEI pony rider Joy Albeck renewed her national champion's title winning the 2011 French Pony Championships held in Lamotte, France, 2 - 3 July 2011. Aboard her second pony Wimbledon Albeck was a league of her own achieving an average percentage of more than 70% after two championship rounds.
Albeck and her 17-year old German Riding Pony stallion Wimbledon (by Waldemar x Patrick) were unbeatable in the two rounds which counted for the national championship. She scored 69.91 in the team championship test (coefficient 1) and 72.81% in the individual test (coefficient 2) to average a total of 71.84%.
The Bondoufle based Lisa Cez finished in silver medal position aboard her dark bay French Riding Pony mare Opale des Vents (by Kooihuster Teake out of Dame des Vents). The combination settled in second position twice with 69.35% and 69.39% to average 69.37.
The bronze medal went to 16-year old Caroline Dufil who is in her last pony year. Aboard the chunky chestnut gelding Ivry de Monteux (by Ceulan Nathan out of Rolls Roche) Dufil put in two very solid performances which slotted her in third. She scored 68.24% and 68.25%.
On Monday the pony riders can win a special Kur to Music trophy in the freestyle championships, which is separate from the French Pony Championships
