German Team for 2010 World Equestrian Games Announced

It came as no surprise that the German team, which was test-ran at the 2010 CDIO Aachen, has ow been officially nominated to represent Germany at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, Ky, USA, on 27 September - 1 October 2010.

At the 2010 German Dressage Championships in Munster today, German dressage chef d'equipe Holger Schmezer officially announced the dressage team. It includes:

  • Isabell Werth, riding the 16-year old Hanoverian Satchmo (by Sao Paulo x Legat) or the 14-year old Hanoverian Warum Nicht FRH (by Weltmeyer x Wenzel)
  • Anabel Balkenhol, riding the 10-year old Hanoverian Dablino (by De Niro x Wanderbusch II)
  • Matthias Alexander Rath, riding the 15-year old Oldenburg Sterntaler Unicef (by Sion x Manstein)
  • Christoph Koschel, riding the 11-year old Finnish warmblood Donnperignon (by Donnerhall x Matador II)

The reserve combinations are Hubertus Schmidt and Donnelly (Westfalian gelding by Donnerruf), Matthias Alexander Rath and Triviant (KWPN gelding by Olivi) and Carola Koppelmann and Le Bo (Hanoverian gelding by Lauries Crusador xx).
