Italian young rider Ricardo Sanavio has been selected to represent Italy at the 2009 FEI Young Rider World Cup Finals held at the CDI-W Frankfurt December 17-20, 2009. The Italian Equestrian Federation requested a wild card for Sanavio and received one from the Frankfurt organizers.
Trained by Laura Conz, the 19-year old Sanavio has been Italy's best performing young rider of the season. Aboard the Belgian warmblood bred Uson van Essene (by Gotthardsen x Goldspring de Lauzelle), Sanavio placed 14th in the Kur to Music Finals at the 2009 European Young Rider Championships in Ermelo, The Netherlands, this summer.
