Swedish chef d'equipe Annica Westerberg nominated the definite junior and young riders team that will represent Sweden at the 2009 European Junior and Young Riders Championships in Ermelo, The Netherlands, August 5-9, 2009.
The Swedish Junior Rider Team includes:
- Elisabeth Hjelm - Baltzar
- Sanna Nilsson - Melvin C
- Fanny Kokotsaki - Rafael
- Josefine Krönfeldt - Poet 996
The Swedish Young Rider Team includes:
- Sara Henrietta Bergstrom Källström - Garcia
- Johanna DueBoje - Don Corleone
- Stephanie Brodd - Accept
- Sanna Edsmar - Pay Back TP
The Danish Equestrian Federation has also released the names of the riders and horse on which they bank to represent Denmark at the European Championships.
The Danish Junior Rider Team includes:
- Cathrine Dufour - Aithon or Cadillac
- Cecilie S. Madsen - Laurentius
- Marie-Louise Larsen - Romar
- Simone Ahlers Pedersen - Cavalér
The fourth and reserve team place will be decided upon after a show in Broholm July 24-27, 2009. The candidates for the place are:
- Camilla Blicher - Adhesive's Hudson
- Christina Møller - Celester
- Nanna Merrald - Millibar (she became reserve)
- Simone Ahlers Pedersen - Cavalér (she got the fourt team place)
The Danish Young Rider Team includes:
- Anna Kasprzak - Blue Hors Future Cup
- Anna Katrine Elkjaer-Holm - Bernstein las Marismas
- Carina Neverman Torup - Come Back After 8
