2008 Performance Plus Auction

The fifth edition of the Performance Plus auction on November 29, 2008, was up to standard according to the organizers Eugene and Patrick Reesink. Price highlight of the auction was the 6-year old keur mare Vradin (by Gribaldi x Michelangelo x Formateur).

The dark bay mare, which is trained at fourth level and closely related to the U.S. owned small tour horse Rifradin, sold for 82,000 euro.

Sixty horses of sixty-four presented at auction were sold for an average price of 19,317 euro. The collection included yearlings, saddle broken three-year olds as well as a few trained young horses.

The second highest price was achieved by the VSN Trophy winner Zaragoza (by Jazz x Voltaire x Mytens xx) which sold for 76,000 euro. The 3-year old Saturday Night (by Sandro Hit x Bormio xx) sold for 60,000 euro which was the third highest knock down price.

The Performance Plus auction also featured 19 foals of which 15 were sold for an average price of 5913 euro per foal. The best seller was the strong moving grey colt Doctor Jones (by Vingino x Casco x Lancelot). He sold for 10,500 euro.
