The Hanoverian stallion licensing committee was very generous in awarding the licensed status to 71 stallions out of the group of 92 selected colts. The Champion of the 2005 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing was the dark bay Hofrat offspring
bred by Friedrich Oppermann and presented by Heinrich Giesselmann from Barver, Germany. This modern stallion excelled in conformation and movement and was the undisputed champion of the licensing. He is by Hofrat (by Gribaldi) out of De Nira (by De Niro x Wendepunkt x Busoni xx).
The Reserve Champion of the licensing was a black colt by Prince Thatch xx out of State Premium Mare Weika (by Wenzel x Grunewald x Leibwachter). This young star is bred by Johanness Haarhoff and presented by Paul Mertens.
Finishing third in the champion's ring was a chestnut Don Frederico x Lauries Crusador xx offspring bred and presented by Heinrich Behrmann. The stallion will be up for stud at the Landsgestut in Celle.
