2004 World Championships for Young Dressage Horses

The Austrian combinations for the 2004 World Young Horse Championships have been announced. Austrian riders had to compete at a national show in Kreuttal to qualify their mounts for the Championships in Verden on July 9-11, 2004.

In the five year old division Saskia Lieben Suetter will be showing Wyclef Jones, a licensed Hanoverian stallion by Weltmeyer x Lauries Crusador. At the Kreuttal qualifier, the Austrian citizen Saskia Lieben scored 9.4 and won the class. Wyclef Jones is owned by Detlef Ruddat of Gerkenhof Stable in Kirchlinteln, Germany.

Also qualified for the 5-year old division is Heinz Wächter aboard Antigone. The liver chestnut mare Antigone is by Davignon II x World Cup I and won the 2003 Austrian Young Horse Championships as a four year old. Antigone is owned by Manfred Hell from Grunddorf, Austria.

In the six year old division, Peter Gmoser will be riding Ragazzo G, a dark bay Hanoverian stallion by Rohdiamant x Werther. At the Kreuttal qualifier, Gmoser won the class with a 9.3 score.

The second Austrian 6-year old to go to Verden is Ipkiss. Under Anja Luise Wessely, Ipkiss scored 8.50 and placed second at Kreuttal.
