Kyra Kyrklund is saying adieu to England and moving back to Sweden. Kyrklund is moving to Dalleröd near Hassleholm, Sweden, where she will be training European silver medallist Jan Brink.

She has been tutoring Brink for a while now, but they decided to to intensify the trainer-student partnership. Kyrklund moved to Surrey, England, with her husband Richard White in 1998, after resigning from her 7-year job as head trainer at the Flyinge Swedish national stud.

Born in Helsinki, Finland, Kyra is a five-time Olympian who trained with Walter Christensen from 1975 to 1977 and Herbert Rehbein from 1980 until his death in 1997. Aboard Matador, Kyrklund won the silver medal at the 1990 World Equestrian Games in Stockholm, Sweden, and placed first at the 1991 World Cup Final in Paris, France. She recently put on her shadbelly again to compete the divine Oldenburg gelding Andiamo Tyme (by Andiamo).
