The Swedish equestrian federation has announced the Grand Prix squads for the 2017 show season. The squads can change based on results achieved this season.

Bo Jena continues to be the team captain for the Swedish Grand Prix riders, but Kyra Kyrklund's contract as team trainer was not renewed for the 2017 show seaon. The Swedish federation, however, has listed Stig Malmen as the "north coach" and Susanne Gielen as the "south coach".

The Grand Prix squads are divided into an elite squad. Riders have to be able to score at least 72% in the Grand Prix. The A-squad (which is normally the elite squad) is called the "National team squad" in Sweden and includes combinations that have scored 70% in the Grand Prix at least twice. The B-squad or "Challenge squad" includes riders that have scores a minimum of 68% nationally or 67% internationally and the horse can not be older than 15. The same division is also made for the Under 25 squads.
